Kioumars Harpa  was born in 1957 in Tehran. He started painting when he was fifteen and at 26, he began studying painting in Tehran Art University. He was instructed by masters such as Mohammad Ebrahim Jafari, Mehdi Hosseini and Bahman Boroujeni. He then accomplished his studies under supervision of Iraj Zand in 1992. He began his teaching experiences at the universities immediately after and was constantly an instructor until 2016. After a course of intentional isolation, his “Memories, Coloured” exhibition was held in 2019. He participated in five group exhibitions ever since and his artworks were greatly accepted by the audience.
